Detailed Trip.

Day 1: Kampala to Kibale forest National Park.

After making a safe arrival for the day, you will be greeted by our knowledgeable driver guide, who will give you a briefing and walk you through the highlights of the safari. This fantastic encounter is in Uganda’s western region. The 6–8-hour journey will start with a briefing and a glass of juice. As you travel through the countryside, you’ll see rolling hills, scattered homesteads, and more.

There will be a lunch stop along the way, after which you will continue driving to your resort for the evening. The evening meal and overnight are scheduled last.

Day 2: chimpanzee trekking in Kibale.

A mouthwatering breakfast feast at the lodge to start the day off well, followed by a trip briefing at the park’s administrative center. The ranger guides will check your travel documentation during this session, which lasts around 30 minutes. They will also give you a briefing on the dos and don’ts of hiking. According to study, chimpanzees and humans share 98% of their DNA. The majority of their waking hours are spent eating, lounging, and playing in the treetops. It takes dedication and love to trace them, but it’s really possible and thrilling. It is fascinating and unforgettable to listen to their more than 25 echoes.

Be aware of other primates that may cross your path as you move through the forest, which is home to over 13 different species of distinctive primates. These include the white and black colobus monkeys, mangabeys, grey checked monkeys and more. You will spend one to two hours searching, depending on how quickly you walk, and another hour watching the primates play, sing, and other activities. After spending time with your cousins, you will head back to the resort for lunch and some refreshments. The remainder of the day will be spent at Bigodi Forest, where you will get the opportunity to observe additional primates, including baboons, interact with locals and more. Dinner and a relaxing snooze mark the end of the day.

Day 3: Kibale forest to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Start your day off right with a hearty breakfast at the lodge, and then depart Kibale Forest National Park for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which is home to mountain gorillas. This road trip offers a relaxing drive with views of the beautiful countryside, rolling hills, and more. You will halt for lunch and receive a warm welcome in an authentic African jungle. You’ll drive to your lodging in one of the sectors to check in and then go for a relaxing siesta, dinner and sleep.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking tour.

Following an early breakfast at the lodge, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing where the ranger guides will inform you of the dos and don’ts of trekking, as well as what to do if you see apes and other interesting things the forest has to offer. Only high-altitude regions of the African continent are home to mountain gorillas. The world’s largest species of primates, they forage and scout out new areas in the morning. It will take between one and eight hours to follow the apes, plus an hour spent with them to observe moms nursing their young ones, silverbacks defending the troop and other activities.

After eating lunch in the forest, you’ll return to the lodge for refreshments and possibly engaging in an extra activity, such as meeting Batwa pygmies who will treat you to exciting cultural performances, village tours, and taste their enigmatic dances. Dinner and a relaxing snooze will mark the end of your day.

Day 5: Departure.

You will awaken at the lodge after a restful night’s sleep, have delectable breakfast and then embark on a 7-8-hour drive to Entebbe or Kampala, or any other drop-off location of your choice. Along the way, you will make an enroute stop at the equator, where you may enjoy lunch and take photos along the marginal line that separates the earth’s northern and southern hemispheres.

End of safari.
